The kITL series is an innovative line of direct thermal kiosk ticket printers that features a compact design with a rugged construction and quality engineering which increases the kiosk reliability and up time. The kITL is ideal for moderate volume ticketing applications.
The kITL printers are optimized for FGL applications (standard programming language for ticketing applications) and for various operating systems (Windows, DOS, UNIX, Linux, etc). Optionally, the kITL can be configured for Windows applications that emulate WYSIWYG, with performance at full speed. This unique driver is designed to take advantage of the flexibility and easy programming features of Windows, including True type fonts and graphics. The Windows driver supports both parallel and USB interfaces.
To ensure good functioning permanently, the PA printer has sensors that indicate the status of the equipment and other useful information such as: low ticket, out of tickets, ticket count, ticket printed, error condition, etc.
In order to provide a larger variety of available connectivity, kITL printers can be acquired with one of the following interfaces: USB, parallel or Ethernet.
As accessories, this PA printer features a ticket storage assembly that keeps the tickets neatly stored and stacked preventing ticket spillage.
The kITL thermal printers can be used in ticketing solutions for cinemas, theaters, sport events and special events. In retail, they can be used for printing vouchers and coupons, as well as for printing boarding passes for airway traffic. Moreover, these printers can be used in solutions for ticket issuance of railway, maritime, bus transportation, and in solutions for parking tickets issuance.
The kITL model is available in two versions in order to accommodate two different ticket widths, and has an automatic cutter integrated. Ticket loading is automatic through the rear of the printer.
A typical 5.5 inch long ticket can be printed, cut and ejected in approximately 2 seconds.
These superior characteristics present great advantages over the conventional kiosk specifications, which usually have a smaller speed and are built for utilizing thin, roll paper.
Tera Software & Consulting offers technical consultancy for choosing the right thermal printing solution and also supplies, warranty and post warranty services for all Practical Automation products.
